Have you ever wondered why there is a snake on a pole on the back of an ambulance? It always brings me back to a time in history, recorded for us in the Bible in Numbers chapter 21:4-9, where many people were dying. They were being bitten by fiery serpents. God told Moses to make a fiery serpent, and to set it on a pole. Moses did so, making it out of brass. Whoever would look at the serpent on the pole, thus acknowledging their transgression against a holy God, would live and be cured from the punishment of death. Today, we are dying because of our transgressions against a holy God, (Romans 6:23) but there is a cure! Hear the words of Jesus today. “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that WHOEVER believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” (John 3:14-17) Will you look to the Saviour of sinners today and be saved?
This blog is about people who are searching for the meaning of life, and how God is at work in their lives drawing them to Himself. Everyone longs for peace, but where can it be found? In the gospel of John from the Holy Bible, Jesus said these words, "In Me is your peace." (John 16:33)

Promised peace?
Are you afraid? Do you wish this pandemic was over? Are you questioning your mortality? Are you longing for peace?
Why the fragility of this life? Our hearts cry, “It’s not supposed to be this way!” You’re right. It’s not. Read the creation account in Genesis chapter 1. “God saw everything He had made, and indeed it was very good.” It was, until sin came into the world (Genesis 2-3) severing our relationship with God the Father. We read from the Bible, “The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 6:23) Now instead of a care free, peace filled life, we find ourselves facing fear of death.
Can this relationship with our Creator be mended? Thankfully, yes! Can peace rule in our lives? Yes! “The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
The world offers you a false peace, and a false sense of security.
Please hear the words of my Saviour with me, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
You may be asking, “How is this peace attainable? What must I do? Is there hope beyond the grave?” I have good news for you. The work is done. Jesus paid it all. We read these words from Colossians 1:19-22,
“For it pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus, God the Son) all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. *And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight.”
What a gift! The Creator taking our sin punishment? Taking death to give us life?
Yes! “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18)
Will you take this free gift you are being offered today, and in return, obtain peace from God? I pray you will!
