Life at best is very brief

I was asked to visit a senior lady in her last days. No one knew how long she would last. I sat with her and chatted and talked to her about my Saviour, Jesus Christ, who came into the world to save sinners. It sounded like she had learned of him from a very early age, and was trusting Him! I left her with my favourite gospel verse, John 3:16. She wanted me to put it on her fridge. This morning her daughter texted me saying she had passed away. Life at best is very brief isn’t it? If today was your last day, where would you be in eternity? God has graciously given us time in this life to make a decision for him. If you have not yet trusted him as your own personal savior, believing that Jesus Christ took all of your sin punishment on himself when he died on the cross, may today be the very day you surrender your life to him! 🙏🏻

Do you believe?

“Seeing is believing,” they say…but is it true?

After Jesus rose from the dead, the disciples were gathered together,

Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them,

“Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.” *

26 ¶ And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 ¶ And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 ¶ Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. *Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

*That You May Believe
30 ¶ And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20)

*Therefore, to you who BELIEVE, He is precious! (1 Peter 2:7)

*Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
